success11.pngIdentify What You Have To Do To Get It

When you first write down your goal, you may not have any idea of how you are going to achieve it.

So the next step will be to list down what you have to do to achieve the goals you have set. You may have to make sacrifices or put in more effort in order to reach that goal. Write it down in detail.

For instance if your goal is to lose 10 kg in weight, what do you have to do to reach that goal? Exercise, eat less, eat more nutritional food should be in the list.

It is the same with other goals. Write down what you have to do to reach that goal and DO IT!

success1.pngSuccess is never an accident, nor is it a matter of luck. It is actually a very simple formula – if you have the commitment to follow it you will reap the rewards.

The first step is to decide what success will be for you. What it means to you is different for everyone. If you do not have your definition of success, how can you achieve it?

It is like driving a car, you have to know where you are going and what your final destination is before you can reach it. It is the same with success. You must be clear what is your success before you can attain it.

Your definition of success is up to you, there is never a wrong definition. It does not matter what other people think, your definition does not have to please anyone. It only has to please you, as it is only then will you put all your energies and will into it.

Thus do step one now : Define what success means to you. Write it down.

Stop Blaming Others

blaming-others.pngWhere you are now is your responsibility – not the government’s, your parents’, your employer’s, or your religion’s. There was once an businessman who said that when he looked back at his failed relationships, his crooked business partners, his bankrupt business and his failing health, he realized that there was only one person that were there in all these sad scenes – HIM.

For most of us this is true also, in a series of misfortunes that you have had, the one person that is always there is you. We must therefore take the responsibility for all that has happen to us. Blaming others will not in any way change things. Recognize this and you are on the road to success.

Take the positive action now and stop blaming others. Look to yourself first and try to learn from your mistakes and change accordingly.

Important To Have A Dream

I was reading an article recently in a newspaper about an interview with a successful businesswoman in Malaysia, One of the things she said that strikes me as being very interesting and true was on the things she detests most in people.

She said “The one thing I detest most in people who are lazy and who have no goal in life. I really dislike it when people do things shoddily because that makes me think that they don’t have a purpose. I always enjoy talking to people who have a goal in mind and work towards it. It doesn’t matter if they haven’t reached it yet but at least they’re trying”.

She further said “It’s important to have a dream. Then it’s about setting the goal, setting a time, working hard and striving for it.”.

She had indeed summed it all up very well in the second quote, and it is worth repeating it in point form.

1. It is important to have a dream.

2. Setting the goal

3. Setting a time

4. Working hard

5. Striving for it.

stress.jpgStress is not necessarily bad. People who have too little stress is actually not good as it is bad for productivity as they tend to do their work slowly and inefficiently. But too much stress is also bad as it causes anxiety, and even suicidal tendencies in worst cases.

The art is to find the right amount of stress that will motivate you to perform at your optimum level. When you are under stress, one or more of the following might happen:

When you are stressed, manage it by using one or some of the techniques below:
1. Be rational. Understand that feeling stressed is normal. Stay calm and relax. Adopt the “now” attitude. What matters is the present moment. No need to worry about the past or future.
2. Do not harbor imaginary fears. One way of cutting this is to keep busy. Engage in things that are of interest to you. Be totally immersed in the activity.
3. Meet up with close friends, collegues or families. Confide in them. Talking to them helps to unload your worries.
4. When you have fears write them down. Write down the worst scenario. Most fears do not take place. Face up to fears.
5. Finally challenge negative thought, read motivational books, funny stories or watch a movie.

robert_kiyosaki-380x380o3.jpgYour future is created by what you do today, not tomorrowThe size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.

The only difference between a rich person and poor person is how they use their time

Academic qualifications are important and so is financial education. They’re both important and schools are forgetting one of them.

The poor, the unsuccessful, the unhappy, the unhealthy are the ones who use the word tomorrow the most

I have a problem with too much money. I can’t reinvest it fast enough, and because I reinvest it, more money comes in. Yes, the rich do get richer.

Do today what you want for your tomorrows

A lot of people are afraid to tell the truth, to say no. That’s where toughness comes into play. Toughness is not being a bully. It’s having backbone.

Inside of every problem lies an opportunity.

Face your fears and doubts, and new worlds will open to you.

If you want to go somewhere, it is best to find someone who has already been there.

Remember to dream big, think long-term, underachieve on a daily basis, and take baby steps. That is the key to long-term success.

Do Something About It

learncomputer.jpgWhatever it is that you want to achieve is entirely possible, but subject to one very important condition – YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

For example, if you would like to be more efficient in your job, and work the computer better. Then do something about it, read a book on how to improve your computer skills in spreadsheets, word processing or others. Enroll if you must in a night school to improve your skills.

If you think you lack the confidence in making presentations or of speaking in public, do something about it. There are a lot of courses and clubs you can join to improve your confidence.

If you believe that your health is holding you back from optimal performance, get a thorough medical check-up or join a fitness club to lose weight and gain energy.

There are plenty of other instances of things that are holding us back, which we can do something about it.

Do not give yourself excuses. Everything can be changed. Making the commitment to change is the toughest part of any self-development plan. Do it now and stop putting it off.

Who Is Wealthy?

rolls-royce.jpgWho do you consider to be a wealthy person? Wealth is actually relative. Some people consider themselves wealthy because they live in a very expensive house and have a few very expensive cars. Others may consider themselves wealthy when they do not have any debt.

Wealth is relative to the person’s perception of financial well-being. There is no hard and fast rule as to how much ownership of money or other resources defines wealth.

What is wealth to one maybe peanuts to another. The more pertinent point to consider perhaps is what financial well-being means to the individual.

It does not matter how people perceive wealth, there is no definition or criteria to wealth. Wealth is a personal thing, it is how you define it. Wealth to you maybe to be debt free, and living in a house with six bedrooms, or wealth to you is being able to put all your children through college. It does not matter.

No matter what wealth means to you, it is right. You should thus be thinking about building wealth to achieve your goal, whatever this maybe.

If wealth to you means having $1 million in assets, than that is the goal that you should strive for.

Your goal must be in line with your definition of wealth.
